Welcome....
I find myself continually in awe of the human capacity to heal and grow when given a nourishing environment. Much as plants grow best when they receive the right amount of sunlight, water and nutrients, humans thrive when we know we are loved, safe, and connected.
The latest research shows that we are biologically hard-wired to thrive when we are in healthy relationships with others. When we trust that the person/people we rely on most both truly love us and are there for us in our moments of need, our health, creativity and ability to take risks strengthens.
Each of us has learned ways to cope with the hardships of our lives. Thankfully these coping skills have helped to protect us in some way. Unfortunately, the coping skills that served us so well when we were younger can become outdated and get in our way as we mature. Some of the most hopeful aspects of the latest research in neuroscience show that our brains are much more pliable than formerly thought, which means that WE CAN CHANGE the ways that we relate to ourselves, others and the world.
If you are experiencing challenging times either in your relationship and/or as an individual, I invite you to learn, grow and heal. There is another way and we can find it together.
